4 Brilliant Face Creams for 45+ Skin (one is $12.99)

I don’t believe we need to spend a lot of money on a results-driven face moisturiser. However, dewy, glowy skin 45+ does require a well-thought-out skincare routine and, most importantly, the right level of hydration. Remmber, dry skin is always ageing skin.

Here are some of my all-time favourite face creams:

  1. Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising SPF 30+ Day Cream, $12.99, at Big W. My mum was loyal to Nivea. From sharing a little tub with her sisters in Slovenia during WWII to bringing it with her on a long voyage to Australia and a new life in Newcastle, the scent alone makes me think of her and smile. Super soft with good sun protection that you can’t feel on your skin (which is the best kind)

  2. L’ Oreal Age Perfect Day Cream, $32.99, at Priceline. I tell all my girlfriends to buy the “Jane Fonda cream”. I love that it feels thick and comforting on my skin, locking in the moisture. I use this one every winter.

  3. Natio Intensive Moisturising Day Cream, $19.95, at Priceline. I’m always amazed at how this family-owned Australian beauty keeps its prices at a minimum without compromising on such quality ingredients. I love the inclusion of lemon and lavender essential oils in this plant-based cream.

  4. The Body Shop Oils for Life Intensely Revitalising Cream, $46, at The Body Shop.  An oil-in-cream formulation is always a favourite of mine. This one goes on light but is deeply hydrating.

NOTE: I’m not paid to endorse any of these products. I only recommend what I know really works.
