A bathing mistake you could be making (I know I was)
Soaking in a bath is a simple yet hugely restorative act of self-love. It’s easy to amplify the experience with this sage advice from the bathing self-care gurus at Peggy Sue, an Australian owned-and-made organic beauty brand with a huge heart.
Here’s what owners Alysha and Shanah want you to remember:
1. Don’t miss the opportunity for a facial
We are massive fans of slowing down during the busyness of life to enjoy beautiful moments of self-care, so let's maximise this time as best we can. We highly recommend that before you soak in the bath you begin by cleansing your face, washing away dirt and grime, then give your skin some love by painting on a relaxing luxe facial treatment or mask to work its magic while you soak in the tub. This will create a sense of a blissful sanctuary, right in the comfort of your own home.

2. Add some “deliciousness” to the water
We believe that skincare and self-care means so much more than caring for our face and that we should be showing some love to the rest of our body too. We created our Peggy Sue ‘Brew Pockets’ which are like big tea bags for the bath infusing magnesium, hydration and a whole bunch of antioxidants into the water, ready to deeply nourish and feed your skin. The compostable Bath Brew Pockets really take your bath session up a notch!

3. Treat your body, post-bath
Water can be so very soothing for the skin but at the same time can leave your skin feeling a little thirsty and dry. A luxurious body oil helps to restore moisture and elasticity back into your skin. Our body oil is super quick to absorb and provides you with a sense of luxury - making it the perfect way to end a relaxing bath session.

4. Avoid harmful chemicals while cleaning (I will from now on!)
Many Australians have opted to use natural and organic brands, and free their skin from synthetic skincare. What some people forget, however, is that if you’re not also switching over to organic house-cleaning products, then the risk of your skin being exposed to these cleaning chemicals is still present, especially when it comes to your bathroom. Consider opting to use a natural bath cleaner, so that when you’re soaking in the bath you are only soaking in natural goodness.
5. Make regular sessions, yes book it in
Life passes by so quickly. Creating time for regular bath sessions helps prioritise your own self-care and the indulgence shouldn’t stop there. Between bath sessions, make sure you stop each day to nourish your skin and re-centre your mind.
NOTE: I’m not paid to endorse any of these products. I only recommend what I know really works.
