DO THIS FOR SHINY, HEALTHY HAIR ALL WINTER LONG
It’s actually pretty easy to keep your locks looking healthy during a cold snap. Celebrity stylist Keiren Street, who’s looked after the locks of Jennifer Hawkins, Toni Collette, Rachel Griffiths and Asher Keddie shares his simple tips we can all follow.
‘Winter can wreak havoc on your hair with the cold, dry temperatures dehydrating your scalp and hair, leaving it looking dull and dry,’ says Keiren. ‘During the cold months it has trouble holding on to moisture, so the first thing you need to do is reduce the frequency of hot tool use. Secondly, opt for a deeply moisturising shampoo and conditioner to keep locks luscious. Finally, avoid hot showers! Rinsing your hair in cooler to cold water helps to seal your hair’s cuticles and prevents oils from escaping and will add extra shine.’
